OUR PASTORS AND STAFF

A Texas native, Rev. David Lessner has been in ministry since 2004. After graduating from Allen High School, he attended Texas Christian University with initial plans for a medical career. A call to ministry led him to earn a Bachelor's degree in Religion and a Master of Divinity from Emory University. Over the years, he has served in a variety roles, including youth, young adult, and sports ministries, contemporary worship, and served as a senior pastor at Creekwood United Methodist Church for over a decade.

Pastor David is passionate about how the local church unites people across backgrounds in service and celebration of God's grace. He is excited to be part of First UMC Arlington's central role in the life of the city.

He and his wife, Lyndsey, have two teen daughters, Chyler and Ardyn. He enjoys sports, Star Wars, chocolate milkshakes, Mexican food, and has a lifelong goal of visiting every U.S. national park and as many international ones as possible.
