We affirm the divinity of Jesus Christ and his life, death and resurrection
-
We believe that the Holy Spirit is God with us

We understand the church as the body of Christ, an extension of Christ’s life and ministry in the world today
-
We believe the Bible is the primary authority for our faith and practice
-
We celebrate the sacraments of baptism and Holy Communion
Service
The United Methodist Church is an 12.6-million-strong global church that opens hearts, opens doors and opens minds through active engagement with our world. As United Methodists, we emphasize not only believing, but also living out those beliefs—putting our faith and love into action.
At First United Methodist Church of Arlington, we put our faith into action through our ongoing mission projects.

Because of God’s love for us, we offer our lives back to God through a life of service. Our faith always includes a social dimension. Our love of God is always linked to love of neighbor and to a passionate commitment to seeking out justice and renewal in the world.
